There were no details left unattended in the creation of the new Leopard 43 Powercat, including the hull design, the updated interior, and much more. Built by Robertson & Caine with exterior design by Simonis Voogd Design, the Leopard 43 Powercat replaces the Leopard 39 Powercat. The Leopard 43 PC is a completely redesigned mid-sized catamaran built with the quality foundation that has come to be expected of Leopard Catamarans.
The stepped hull design adds interior volume above the waterline, allowing for roomier accommodations in the hulls without sacrificing the performance of the yacht. With narrower hulls and the less wetted surface below the waterline, the Leopard 43 PC reaches an impressive maximum speed of 24 knots and maintains exceptional fuel efficiency consistent with all Leopard power catamaran models.
The Leopard 43 PC features a large flybridge which includes a grill, wet bar and direct access to the sunbathing platform found forward. Inside, the galley of this powercat is located forward and the forward-facing settee and table are now located aft. This layout, with sliding glass doors between the settee and aft cockpit seating area, plus a large window forward and access door to the bow, allow for nearly 360-degree panoramic views and create a feeling of continuous indoor-outdoor living space.Download Brochure
Naval Architect for Simonis Voogd Desgin, Alexander Simonis, tells us this:
After completing the Leopard 51 PC, we continued working to find ways to further improve on the powercat hull efficiency. The extensive testing program from the 51 helped us to do this and the net result is a yacht which gets very close to the speeds the 51 can do despite being 8 ft shorter and having 220 less Horsepower fitted.
Space-wise this yacht gives you the same dramatic difference as we experienced on the new Leopard 40. The interior volume is 30% bigger than on the old 39 PC and the flybridge area starts challenging that of the 51 Powercat.
One of the most exciting and innovative interiors yet on a Leopard catamaran, the Leopard 43 Powercat includes the design of the new generation of Leopard Catamarans. In this new layout, the galley is located forward and the forward-facing settee and table are now located aft. This allows for a panoramic view with large sliding glass doors between the saloon and the aft cockpit.
The starboard hull is entirely dedicated to the luxurious owner’s suite with a spacious master cabin aft, a vanity table/desk, multiple extra storage spaces, and a sliding entry door to maximize space. A private head with large separate shower compartment stands in the forward section of the hull. The light blonde interior design shows well in the owner and guest cabins alike, adding to the feeling of ample space.
